Eligibility and User Accounts
- Age Requirement: By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. Sqripta does not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to submit manuscripts or act as peer reviewers.
- Account Security: If any part of our Website requires you to create an account or registration profile, you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
Privacy and Cookie Compliance
Your interaction with our Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy clarifies how we process your personal data and how we utilize functional and analytical cookies. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to understand our data practices.
Intellectual Property, Licensing, and Open Access
Sqripta operates under the Diamond Open Access model, supporting the global, unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge.
- Creative Commons Licensing: All scholarly research articles and volumes published by Sqripta are permanently released under the Creative Commons Attribution – ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Anyone is free to share, copy, redistribute, and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercially, provided appropriate academic attribution is given and any derivative work is distributed under the same license.
- Copyright Retention: Authors retain full copyright ownership of their respective work while granting Sqripta an exclusive, irrevocable license of first publication.
- Proprietary Rights: The unique website design, text layouts, graphical elements, logos, underlying source code, and branding elements remain the exclusive intellectual property of Sqripta. Unauthorized reproduction of the Website’s design or branding is strictly prohibited.
Academic Integrity, Guarantees, and Retractions
To maintain the highest standards of scientific rigor, all submitting authors and reviewers must strictly adhere to the following rules:
- Author Warranties: Upon submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author guarantees that the work is completely original, has not been published elsewhere, is not currently under evaluation by another publisher, and does not violate any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Ethical Misconduct and Plagiarism: Sqripta maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, image manipulation, and redundant publication. We reserve the absolute right to utilize plagiarism-detection software (e.g., iThenticate) and reject any paper found in violation of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.
- Permanence of the Scientific Record: Once a manuscript is officially peer-reviewed, accepted, and published as a Version of Record, it becomes a permanent part of the digital scientific record. Authors acknowledge that published articles cannot be withdrawn or deleted upon request. Retractions or corrections will only be issued by the editorial board in extreme cases of verified scientific error, ethical breaches, or legal mandates.
- Reviewer Conduct: Reviewers agree to treat all assigned manuscripts as strictly confidential digital assets. Reviewers shall not download, share, or exploit unpublished research data for personal, academic, or commercial advantage.
- Submissions by Editorial Members: To guarantee uncompromised objectivity, any manuscript submitted by an Editorial Board member, Editor-in-Chief, or Associate Editor undergoes a strict reciprocal firewall protocol managed independently by non-authoring editors, as detailed in our specific journal Policies. Such publications will always feature a mandatory, public Transparency Statement.
Editorial Independence and Autonomy
Sqripta firmly upholds the principle of editorial independence. Each journal operated under our infrastructure maintains complete, autonomous authority over its editorial workflows, peer-review management, and final publication decisions, entirely separate from the publisher’s business or administrative operations. Sqripta guarantees that its corporate, financial, or administrative management will never interfere with, influence, or compromise the objectivity of peer-review processes or acceptance decisions made by individual journal Editorial Boards, thereby ensuring a strict mitigation of potential conflicts of interest.
Prohibited Activities
Users are explicitly prohibited from:
- Engaging in any automated data extraction, “web scraping,” “data mining,” or harvesting of email addresses and metadata from the Website, except where explicitly permitted for academic indexing engines (e.g., Crossref, DOAJ).
- Attempting to breach, disrupt, or bypass the security infrastructure, servers, or networks hosting Sqripta.
- Using the Website to transmit malicious software, viruses, worms, or trojans.
