Submit a Manuscript

All submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal Policies. Authors of submitted manuscripts are responsible for the content and adherence to the prescribed Policies.

The Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment does not charge article processing charges (APC) or any other publishing fees for submitted or accepted manuscripts. Authors publish their articles completely free of charge, which is why there are no waivers or discounts.

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment agree to application of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license to their article and to its availability in Open Access if accepted for publication. This allows freedom of reuse and ensures that published articles can be used without barriers for research purposes.

Only manuscripts edited according to the Guide for Authors and the manuscript template will be considered for further assessment and review.

By submitting the manuscript to the Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment, the authors confirm the following:

  • The submitted manuscript is original, and all information used from other sources is properly cited.
  • The submitted manuscript has not been submitted, accepted for publication or published anywhere.
  • The submitted manuscript may be checked using plagiarism detection software (iThenticate/CrossCheck).
  • If accepted, the published article will be made available online on an Open Access basis.
  • If accepted, the article will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

The Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment fosters direct communication with authors and provides a simple and no-sign-up method of submitting manuscripts without the use of complicated submission software. In this way, the journal guarantees fast and efficient processing of received manuscripts, which primarily benefits authors.

The Editorial Board is committed to processing received manuscripts as quickly as possible. Authors are informed of each stage their manuscript is in. Optionally, they can contact the Managing Editor at managing.editor.rrbe@sqripta.com at any time to find out the status of their manuscript. This way, authors have the real possibility to know exactly what stage their manuscript is in. Using this contact to exert any kind of pressure or unethical behaviour is unacceptable and may be penalised by rejection of the submitted manuscript.
