Submit a Manuscript
All submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal’s Editorial Policies. Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submissions and adherence to the prescribed guidelines.
The Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment does not charge article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or any other publishing fees. Authors publish their work completely free of charge; consequently, no waivers or discounts are applicable.
By submitting a manuscript to the Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment, authors agree to the application of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license to their article and consent to its immediate availability in Open Access upon publication. This ensures unrestricted reuse and guarantees that published articles can be utilized for research purposes without barriers.
Only manuscripts formatted strictly according to the Instructions for Authors and the official Manuscript Template will be considered for evaluation and peer review.
By submitting your manuscript, you officially confirm that:
- The manuscript is original, and all information or data from external sources is accurately cited.
- The manuscript has not been previously published, accepted for publication, or concurrently submitted elsewhere.
- The manuscript may be screened for originality using automated plagiarism detection software (Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate).
- If accepted, the article will be made permanently available online under an Diamond Open Access model and published under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Submission Process via Open Journal Systems (OJS)
To ensure a streamlined, transparent, and rigorous peer-review workflow, the Resilience and Reuse in the Built Environment manages all submissions through Open Journal Systems (OJS).
Please follow these steps to submit your manuscript:
- Register or Log In: Click the submission button below to go to our OJS platform. If you are a new author, click “Register” and create your profile (make sure to check the box “Author: Able to submit items to the journal”). If you already have an account, simply “Log In”.
- Start a New Submission: Once logged into your Dashboard, click on the “New Submission” button.
- Follow the Steps: The system will guide you through 5 steps (entering metadata, uploading files, adding co-authors, and confirming submission).
- Track Your Progress: After submission, you can log into your account at any time to monitor the real-time status of your manuscript during the review process.
The Editorial Board is dedicated to processing manuscripts efficiently. Authors receive automated email updates at every key stage of the review process. Please note that using this contact to exert any kind of pressure or unethical behaviour is unacceptable and will result in the immediate rejection of the manuscript.
